So I have an oportunity..... but should I?
    I saw this on Craigslist.

    https://houston.craigslist.org/pet/d...840979525.html

The price is good. Going to check her out tomorrow.

What should I be on the look out for with a burm?

She looks healthy. I have an enclosure open big enough but she comes with the one she is in already.

    Thoughts?

Only that you are very lucky to be able to keep such a gorgeous animal. A burm, that's my dream animal right there.

Good luck. I hope that the snake is in good health and that you are able to take her/him to a new and better life.

I would just make sure with a snake that big no possible signs of aggression towards yourself has she been tap trained etc and other than that do your general checks mites ri and if all good to for her buddy

I would triple check for RI or other health issues that result from poor husbandry, given that the prior owner can't spell "Burmese" and the photo was taken of the snake outside during the winter with a tween/teen who was wearing clothing appropriate for a cool day; burms tend to not be as hardy as retics.

I have been hesitant because of everything I have read about them getting RI easily.

I agree. Some people don't think about the animal.

Ok so after talking to him more.... I am going to say no. She is quite aggressive. They cant deal with her properly is why he is getting rid of her. Oh well.

If it is cage aggression that can be dealt with just use a hook to drag her back end out and then pull her out, most burms are fine once there out but if she’s aggressive out the tank I wouldn’t bother but saying that how did he manage to get her outside for photos if she is that bad ..

I have never heard of a female in breeding mode that is a new one for me haha, i have 8 burms never once dealt with that males are temperamental about a year old and during breeding but never actual aggressive just have to watch how your handling them tend just to snap out. By the sounds of it the guy hasn't handled her enough and is trying to make excuses why she is being aggressive personally if you want her for the purpose of breeding I would go for it but as a pet you may aswell buy a cb18 hatching and work her yourself :)
