    New and Improved Reptile Room!
Hi guys, I know I haven't really been around much the past couple months. Just wanted to share my updated reptile room. Will also share some updated pics of my current animals soon, as well as a new secret surprise animal I'm getting in around a month or so when the breeder is confident she's eating well!

I recently broke up with my girlfriend, and that has been pretty painful, and I've been devoting a lot of time to make myself a helluva killer reptile room. It's pretty much done, all I need to really do (besides add more snakes, duh) is get some room-appropriate pictures up on the walls.

I got a stack of T10s that arrived around November, when I was taking pics Sascha was all curious as to what I was up to so had to snap a pic of her.

I noticed a couple months back that I have a wet bar hookup in there, so it was a no brainer that I was putting in a slop sink. Total game changer. No more washing stuff and defrosting rats in the kitchen sink. Access to water nearby is a wonderful thing.

I then decided to remove an old outdoor swing thing and put in a legit couch and added some majesty palms and yuccas to the room. Got a coffee table so I can put all my coffee table books on it lol. Hung up a GnR "Welcomoe to the Jungle" canvas on top of the bay window.

I had my 2 glass tanks on an old dining room table which no longer matched the theme of the room, so that had to go. I ordered Gladiator shelves for the tanks, and moved the 4 foot table I had a Boaphile on next to the sink. That is now my prep station. Eventually the table holding the Vision tank will be replaced by 6-8' shelving when the time arrives to order 6-8' tanks.

Lastly, I put in a small chest freezer (3.5 cu ft, like $150 at best buy). Its beyond wonderful to now have everything in one room. Enjoy!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2e8e060886.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d0a864cd2a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4dd9c76fd3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...65bdb7beb5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3b4485a6f7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...15e455f715.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e7814e0565.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0f972a08e7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b24cb951fe.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c6516964b8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3310d902d7.jpg

Sorry to hear about your breakup. That’s never easy.

This is a very cool setup! Part of the consideration for my reptile room placement was putting it next to my bathroom...ease of cleanup and thawing are major considerations in my book. I want to upgrade my bathroom sink (1 bath home) and what I have been looking at is a small country style kitchen sink large enough for my biggest water bowls. No more leaning over the tub.

Thanks for the wishes, it sucks but also a part of life.

Do whatever it takes to have a sink in there if you can, literally a world of difference

Thank you! I generally have coffee in my snake room at like 6am, and lately it really has been beyond peaceful, with the sun coming up behind me and actually having a decent setup in there to relax

Looks great. :gj::gj::gj: I could just chill in there in the quiet for hours. One day, one day. At least my wife is in on a reptile room someday too so one less hurdle to jump.

Very cool, I fear I am years away from a designated room, but I do have a table in a breakfast area that's attached to the kitchen, so water, freezer, and counter space are close by.
