PVC sheets???
Looking to build my own ball python rack. I have everything sourced except the pvc sheets.
Need some up to date recommendations of where to buy online.
Also what is exact name/s of this stuff. Is it pvc foam board or something else??? I don't want to use wood or melamine. Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Ty :)

It's expanded PVC sheets you're looking for, they're not cheap and you have to use a certain blade to cut them without doing damage to it if I recall correctly. Most places won't sell a couple of sheets though, unless you can find it locally and pick it up, it's not worth shipping sheets either.

Re: PVC sheets???
Didn't know about needing special blade. So if anyone knows what i need for that will add to list
Found a company, usplastic.com
Should i go with...
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Sheeting
Or
Expanded High Density Rigid PVC Sheet
The first says it's a good thermal insulator.

If you have a Home Depot nearby check online to see if your local store carries "Veranda HP PVC Trim". It comes in all shapes & sizes, including 48"x96"x3/4" sheets.
Home Depot won't cut it for you, but it can be cut with a circular saw.

I did a lot of research before I purchased a PVC enclosure. We built my Bearded dragon's wooden viv so are capable of doing it. By the time I bought the PVC sheeting, got the right blade, and had glass cut for the doors, it was $40- $60 more to buy it already done, depending on the source. Also, the ones that you can order are typically laser cut so they fit together perfectly.

True enough but most every place that sells racks has a month or more long wait list. I'm not that patient lol. For example I bought a tgr rack a month ago. When i purchased the website said 2-3 weeks. Still waiting for it to ship :(

Hey Kalikatt, I don't know where you are located at, but...you can go online to multi-craft plastics, or just look up their number and call Daniel the sales manager at their Portland office, and order whatever you need. I built a 7 slot Juvenile/sub adult rack out of 1 sheet of 1/2" thick black XPVC. the did the cuts and it cost me $184 shipped to my door. I hope this helps

Are you located close to OR? Or do they ship across the country at similar pricing?

Re: PVC sheets???
At the time that I built my racks, I was living in Montana. but I am pretty sure that they ship anywhere in the U.S.
Just call the Seattle office and Talk to Daniel Faiella the office manager. Tell him what you need...i.e. how many sheets and the cuts you want, and he'll hook you up. I've built 2 racks this way and they have the best pricing that I've found.

When I ordered from Reptile basics it took 3 weeks to get the rack.
