    Dubia Roaches Dying?
I'm not sure why my dubia roaches keep dying when I try to move them to a new bin, I currently have a breeding colony and the bin is overcrowded so I've tried to move some of them to a new bin and the same thing keeps happening.

Whenever I try to move some of my dubias to another container they all die, they go insane first jumping and leaping around then within a few hours are dead. The tank is the same set up as my breeding colony and all I do to switch them is pick up some of the egg crate and put it in the new tank. Could this be stressing them out enough to kill them?

My colony is breeding well I'm not sure why trying to switch them to another bin is killing them?

I never had an entire group dying when moved, some dye but it's just nature taking it's course.

Any chance the new bin could have be sprayed with chemicals of some sort?

Nope no chance, and I can still hear them going crazy. I moved them back and they are still freaking out.

It really sounds like some sort of chemical has contaminated the new container. If it's new perhaps it's offgassing?

Have you tried moving a few to a completely different, brand new container made of a different material?

I'll try, its just a glass tank though, I've housed roaches in it before with no incident. Its just when I try to move some it happens.

Should I try switching to a plastic tub? I'm worried about a heat pad on it, I keep them in the basement so I need alot of heat sources to keep bin warm enough. They freak out the rest of my family so they have to stay in the basment.

Nope I live in a house, the females also aborted their egg sacs if that helps.
