    Boa's Growth Stunted?
Hi! I have a quick question about BCI Boa Growth.
I recently got a 4 year old boa from someone who couldnt take care of her anymore. The boa is a Female. She is exactly 5ft long. She is is also about 6lbs in weight.
She was underweight when I got her and after 3 months she is now has the healthy "square" boa shape.

My question: "Is she a correct size for her age or has she been stunted by her previous care." "Also what size range should I expect her to max out as"

I ask this because a few others online have told me the Boa is undersized and that she has been stunted and will never reach "an adult size of 6-8ft"

    Any imput will be appreciated!!!

5' at 4 yrs old sounds perfect to me.
Boas continue to grow their whole lives, there's no reason she won't end up over 6' or more as the years go by.
There are no hard and fast 'this length = this age' for boas.
Boas can be power fed and reach 6' super quick but it's not healthy for them. Feeding frequency, size and genetics all play a role in how big a boa is.

I've got s 9year old boa female that is 5ft she's probably got a smaller central American influence in her some where along the line, my Nicaraguans are 4 and just under 5ft but a dwarf locality anyway, there are smaller locality boas than that too.
As long as she's nice and healthy looking then I wouldn't bother about her size
An over fed boa just has there lifespan shortened

I've only had one BCI, an unwanted (& very grouchy) yearling female that I took in many years back, and her growth seemed to take "forever" to me at the
time. I wondered if she'd ever exceed 6'...but by age 12, she was 7.5' & still growing. :D Careful what you wish for...but seriously, slow growth is normal
& healthier. Even as a big gal, I mostly fed her medium rats about every 3 weeks...she was NOT under-fed, & very healthy. Plus yours may be one whose
genetics run smaller...nothing wrong with that either. Yours is only 4...enjoy her for whoever & whatever she is. Don't over-feed, & don't worry, she'll grow.
