    Wrapping
So this morning I found my Enchi Pastel wrapped around her water bowl. It could mean nothing, but this girl is the one that never ste for around 8 months, lost almost 700gr and has now been eating for almost 3 months now, and has put on 200gr again. I am pretty chuffed with her progress. She locked with my Mojave Pastel male in December 2017, multiple times, but nothing came of that. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2cb2b5bcfb.jpg

If she is cooking down she is building up so it is a good sign.

Thanks Deborah. When do you think I should try putting a male in with her, or do I just leave it till July which is traditionally our pairing time.

If she is cooling now I would start pairing her, usually I start pairing my females (the proven ones) once they start showing me signs that they are developing follicles (cooling is one of those signs). Non proven females I will introduce the male before they show any signs to stimulate them into starting to develop follicles.

The issue with follicular development is that it can last 4 to 8 months but if you pair too late the female can re-absorb her follicles, generally speaking they are prime for breeding once the follicles are about 18 mm.

Thanks Deb, I will put my Champagne Pastel Boy in with her, and see what happens.
