thighs could be solved by wearing swim shorts, ankles depending on how big you could just use a large waterproof bandage, im not sure. ankle is a pretty difficult spot to cover up

Remember, every scar tells a story.
Kind of like a tattoo does. :gj:

Good for you. But if you are truly subconscious about it, covering them with tattoos is a legit way.

I second this. People will notice the art not the scars.

You are not alone. I am not sure how old you are, but one day you will learn the subtle art of not giving a ***. (There is a good book by that title, by the way).

People come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and conditions. It is normal for us to all be different from one another. 99% of us don't meet the ideal standards set by society. So just be you.

My daughter is 15. She was born with a disorder that has required several surgeries. She has some wicked cool scars on both knees from 3 surgeries (so far-- one more needed soon), and the way her skin heals, and because she's naturally tan, you can see those scars very clearly. She also has an "extra belly button" from a feeding tube that she lived with for 6 years. She owns it. She didn't at first, but now she wears a two piece to the pool and if people ask about her scars (usually little kids-- older kids/adults just stare), she tells them. You wouldn't believe how accepting people are. The kids are like "Oh cool!"

Please do not be ashamed for having these scars. Everyone has some kind of scarring being it mental or physical. If another person is to judge you they are being shallow and ignorant. I always have liked that saying, "Never judge a book from its cover".... :peace: Stay Strong!
