    Experience Progression
What would be the best progression in experience to go from first snake to Burm. Would this be any good

    1st-Ball Python
    2nd-Columbian Boa
    3rd-Blood Python
    4th-Burm Python

Would that be a good progression to get the neccesary experience to even start thinking about getting a burm.

Instead of doing the 'progression' method of getting experience, I would suggest getting around someone or volunteering at a place that keeps larger snakes to get some handling experience. Look toward local keepers and breeders.....and herp societies. Burms are not that complicated because of their care requirements....what makes them so difficult to keep is their size. An 8'-10' columbian is alot different than a 14'+ burm.

Other than that you list sounds good....

Before I got my burm I had a year of experience around them.. probably 1000 hours handling them. It's hard for most people to do this, but if you can find someone who has big snakes that you can work with, it's very good.

The species you listed are good animals to learn with.

Obviously this would include many hours of handling time. I just though that this would give a chance to encounter many different different parts of handling and offer many hours of handling experience on its own. I am now thinking about doing it this way and making it my 5-7 year plan. By then I should be out of college and have a good job.
