    VE-2 questions
So Thursday the 14th I'm to get my vivarium Electronics ve-2 in. This is my very first rack. Had been using tanks. So I have a couple questions. Have been looking on YouTube for proper setups. Some videos explain everything other than what I want to know. So #1. Where is the best spot for the thermostat probe? The top or bottom tier? #2. What's the best temp to set the thermostat at? I was going to set it at 90. But I don't know. So wanted some expert advice...

I set my probe on the most middle rack because I've noticed the farther away from the probe the shelf is the more the temperature fluctuates. Not a whole lot but a couple degrees. I have mine set at 93 but I think my tubs are kinda thick because my temp gun reads 91 hot side on the inside of the tub with a thin layer of substrate. I also have a ve-2. Best of luck!

So I'm assuming we got the same kind of tubs. So if I'm going to be using a little "forest floor" substrate maybe I should set my thermostat at around 92-93 also?

It's really just a trial and error thing. Set your rack up and try the thermostat at 92 or 93 and keep checking temps for 2-3 days to make sure temps are holding and they're just right before moving all your babies into it. Once the temps have read right for a couple days I would move them all into their new home. Try feeding them in their current enclosure before moving them since they could go off feed because of a new environment at least they'll have a full belly!
