    BP Questions!
My Wife and I have owned our ball python for over a year now and everything was going great and about a few months ago we started noticing a whistle. Its usually louder when he is exploring, we instantly thought "oh no, what are we doing wrong" we started looking up RI symptoms and he doesn't seem to be displaying any of those, we even checked his mouth and i didn't see any mucus or bubbles. We keep is hot spot at around 95 and cool side in the 70's with a humidity of around 50-60% depending on weather he also has full sheds and eats normally. I recently watched a video where a woman's BP makes a "puffing" sound and she claims they do that when they are curious. I don't know how true this is and if it gets as loud as my BP. Also side question, what are peoples opinion on substrate, My wife and I like the look of reptibark but we are thinking about doing a reptibark/coco fiber mix. Any advice and thoughts would be very nice. The attached video is the sound our BP has been making.https://vimeo.com/user94690540/revie...222/14bb23d2b9

Hot spot of 95* is a little too hot...you want 88-90*, & cool side upper 70's.

As far as whistling, it's possible that he has some leftover shed skin stuck in his nostrils (they normally shed the outer lining of their nostrils), but it could also
    be an RI starting up.

Had no luck with your video...
