Yeah but what exactly is "normal"? Is there an actual name?

A "normal" ball python is just the standard patterning. Think of it like if you came across one in the wild, that's what it'd look like. This species has such variability in colors and patterns in the pet trade. "Morphs" are bred in order to change its colors and patterning and develop what some people see as a more valuable, prettier snake. Morphs can range in price from just above a normal's price all the way up into the thousands.

The ball python (Python regius), also known as the royal python.

Normal is essentially the "wild type" or natural ball python pattern. Morphs are mutations of the normal pattern which create new colours and patterns that are not usually found in the wild.

Your normal looks great by the way, he's got this nice greyish silver tint that is very pretty.

We call them Royal pythons or 'Royals' over here in the uk .
Ball pythons seems to be an American thing ..

My first guess would be Axanthic.
My second guess would be a Normal.

Where did you get it from?
Can you post some better photos in natural light?
It could be a normal but my first thought was an Axanthic also.

Agree with it looking axanthic. Could just be a light normal tho.
