    What is your guilty pleasure?
What is something you are embarrassed to admit you like to your friends and family?

Mine is documentaries of other people's lives. I'm an intellectual person and deeply thoughtful, and like to solve problems, but when I'm tired after a long shift (I'm a nurse), or when I've been drained of all patience by my two teenage daughters, I just like to binge watch these shows and knit socks and hold my snakes. My two current ones are 90 Day Fiance and Real Housewives.

So last night I found out my boyfriend/partner likes to watch Real Housewives too!!! :rofl:I had come home from work after needing to stay late. It was my third day of work of 12.5 hour+ shifts. I was dead tired. I was thinking of just going to bed right away, and my boyfriend is sitting there working on his lego project, and he asks, "So are you going to watch Housewives tonight?" I was like "I'm tired, I think I'll just go to bed." And he was trying not to show disappointment but I could see it and he said, "Why don't you sit down and relax and watch Housewives?" And I said, "I think YOU want to watch Housewives" and he says, "Yeah I only watch it because I'm here when you have it on." So I put on an episode and he's commenting on it the whole time and paying close attention, even though he was supposedly only there to work on his Lego project.:rofl:

So confess! What is your guilty pleasure?

Well I wouldn't say I'm an Alpha male, I do enjoy hunting, fishing, hockey, and guns. I've also been married to the same wonderful woman for over 30 years.

That said, my guilty pleasure is, (he murmurs under his breath) ......... shoes.

I probably have more pairs than my wife. Yes, I know the difference between a Chelsea, a Chukka, or a Jodhpur boot. I can pick out an Oxford from a Double Monk Strap shoe and yes, I have other colors besides Black and Brown.

I will now shamefully shrink back into the shadows.

That's actually very interesting! So, I'm curious, do you also have different types of socks that go best with the different shoes?

I'm kinda similar.. I used to watch those 'real lives' series plus the gold mining ones , timber loggers and all the Alaskan families BUT then it surfaced that they're all heavily scripted / directed and I simply gave up on them ..

Not much a TV person but my guilty pleasure (also I feel no guilt) is that I am a gamer even at my age, hubby does not get it (for him it's a waste of time and stupid), for me that is how I relax (been playing on the very first game system, shows how old I am and never stopped)
