I don't see many of these, but I'm told they are used to make "gray matter" I like the way the snake looks, just don't know much about them. Are they not popular breeding wise?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d601bf148c.jpg

I would say people shy away from super black pastels, and combos that create them because of the possibilities of deformed babies. Grey matter needs champagne and super black pastel (or cinnamon).I think they would be way more popular if they didn't have those issues.
Personally, i love them and hope to have one someday. Plus just having a champ black pastel as a snake gets awesome ringers... like the one you have there.
Right now its like an arms race of which breeders can find a better morph combo that makes an all black snake liks b.p. does. So far the findings aren't as good, imo.

I wouldn't say they're rare, there's just so many genes out there to work with now. A friend actually picked up a big cinny champ girl just yesterday. Ill be looking for atleast a BP champ guy this year for these girls.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ae881ddc0c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a07e75b33b.jpg

The local breeder has him. I have bought a couple snakes from her already. I can buy it, just not sure if I want to pull the trigger. She's wanting $275

$275 is a hell of a deal for a ringer BP Champ girl. they have the potential to make "Dark Matter" and well, appear darker than their Cinny counterparts aka Grey Matters which make greyish-silverish snakes.

also i have the sister to Chakup's: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...Reunion-Thread!!

Edit: and well i also have this: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...=1#post2669885
