Post-fast question

Finally, we have lift off! After 6 months of fasting, Lucy finally ate. As soon as the rat touched the substrate I heard thr resounding slam of her hide against glass. Yay!

My question is about offering more food. I usually feed/offer medium rats, but this time I tried a small to ease her back into feeding. I have one more small in the freezer. How soon should I offer it? Or should I just switch back to mediums and resume her regular schedule?

I'd give her the small in a week and assuming she takes it switch back later.

How old is she? She might be ready for mediums, but only every 10-14 days if she's an adult (which I'd assume if she's on mediums).

She's 3. Used to take mediums just fine but after we moved she became finicky. Ate once and then decided no more.

Ok. I'd try the other small in 10 days then. She's not going to miss the food over a few extra days. Then try a medium in another 10-14. She's probably ready to slow down to a 10-14 day feeding schedule
