Help! setting up new PVC enclosure (first time)
Hey everyone!! I've had Noodle for 2 years now and my dad has agreed to help me get a PVC enclosure for him. We'll be getting a 36X18X15 with florescent lighting and sliding doors. We know we'll need Flexwatt on the bottom of one side, but I'm not sure if we should have the ceiling mounted radiant heat panel placed in the center of the other side or all the way to the edge? And I was also wondering where the best spot would be for the RHP temp probe. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!!

If you have an RHP, the heat tape is not needed. The RHP should be towards one side to create a temperature gradient.
I’d also recommend using LED lighting rather than flourescent. It takes up less room and lasts longer.

You want to set your radiant heat panel to one side to provide a gradient. With my rhp, I don’t need uth as well. For my temp probes, I have them about an inch to an inch and a half off the cage floor directly below the rhp. Basically as close to where the snake will be without risking it getting wet, even with substrate. Your thermostat will actually be set lower than your hot spot because the probe won’t be directly under the heat, but off to one side or behind. It takes a bit of tweaking, but I’ve never had issues once the thermostat was set.
