    Feeder rats
Anyone have a good reputable/ cheapish place to get feeder rats in bulk? The local pet store is breaking the budget and I know they're cheaper in bulk. If you know of a good place I'd appreciate the feedback.

Perfect Prey is my go-to. Big Cheese Rodents is also well-regarded. Shop them both for the size and qty of what you need. You'll be happier with either.

Cold Blooded Cafe (my #1 choice) and Reptilinks have good feeders.

Cali_herpy138 Legally, you can't ship live rodents except by air cargo (delivery to an airport) which is very expensive..i.e. ~$150+ per shipment. You might want to see if there's a local reptile group for CA they might know of someone that breeds feeders in your area.

For odering f/t online, I usually go with perfect prey and big cheese. Both have quality feeders for a good price IMO.

    Coldbloodedcafe is awesome....and cheap.

Big cheese is ALWAYS out of their own inventory sizes and it's usually mediums and larges. I gave up trying to get what I needed from them, but I know they do have a good product.

I'm a Perfect Prey guy too. I may have to try this Cold Blooded Cafe though. I've heard some good things about them.

I was afraid youd say that lol
My Females are very finicky, ive tried to feed them f/t and theyre reluctant to take them. i only have one that takes them but shes my best eater and will eat live. When it comes to feeding live the others are monster eaters.
but i have one male that went on a strike and i couldnt figure out why. he was eating smalls with no issue. then he just stopped.
went on strike for 3 weeks he wouldnt take any smalls...so one day i decided to try a hopper rat and he took it faster then anything i seen. i always try to feed him smalls he wont take them anymore. but he always takes a hopper.
idk maybe he took a bite from one and it put him off, maybe he needs his confidence boosted for a bit.

anyway, i was looking for anyone who ships. the pet stores up here carry small and large but thats about it.
maybe i can get their suppliers info.

I decided to go with coldbloodedcafe and was very impressed with their packaging and prices. I think I'll stick with them from now on.

Let me know how your experience goes with CBC. I may give them a shot too. Best wishes!
