    Cleaning: Spot and Deep Frequency
I'm curious what the recommended cleaning protocol is for snakes.

When I was using paper substrate, I would clean whenever there was a mess (usually once a week) but now using Reptichip, I seem to only spot clean; picking up urates and poop. Reptichip does a great job absorbing and masking the smells and I find myself usually going a couple months before changing out everything. When I do see a wet mess on the pvc bottom, I've been using Chlorhexadine to clean it up.

Also, I usually only change my water every 3-4 days while misting the cage every other day to help w/ humidity in the winter months.

    Looking for advice on this.

Yep that’s what I do. I spot clean and every two months I replace. Keep my water dish full and mist daily to maintain humidity

I don't use Reptichip, I use Aspen...but it seems that you are on top of things.
I also wash water bowls every 3 days.
