Helloo I am new
Just a quick note to say Hi!! And to introduce myself.
I live in Florida. I have (currantly) 3 ball pythons and one corn snake.(Also I have a friend's ball that is housed with mine at my shop). All of my pythons are pretty much normal colored(one termed 'fancy'?) and are superb snakes. I adore them.
I am very interested the the new colors and in other species that are nice handleable snakes. My largest and first python(Bill) is just the sweetest ever. He loves to play on my table or the computer, and is carried around all the time.
As an aside.. does ANYONE have an idea of how to travel with snakes? OTher than driving, I need to fly out occasionally. Is there a way to take your pet? Or is it simply advisable to leave them home?
Thanks in advance for answering a whole lot of silly questions I am sure to ask in the future.

Re: Helloo I am new
I would highly advise leaving the snake at home, as long as it has water and heat, it should be fine for a few weeks if needed. Its very stressful for just about any animal to travel, for the exception of us and maybe dogs. And Welcome to the Forum!

Welcome to the site. :D
As for traveling, I agree with Braedan - just leave em home! Why risk having your snake confiscated or just being denied access to the flight? They'll be happier at home.

Welcome. Wow, you are the second person I knwo with the name Wolfy, too cool.
Find a responsible teenager that likes herps in your area (ask around with friends that have herps), have them check in every once in a while and leave them at home. Have them come over, show them the routine, and advise not to handle them, they are not toys. Just feed & water and clean up. Pay the kid a few bucks, and you are set.
This is how I made extra money as a kid so I know they are out there.

Thanks for the welcome. I won't be gone that long, and as I have dogs as well I have a very responsible person that comes to take care of everything. She is the owner of the other ball python.(#4)
I have NO doubt I will be adding snakes to the collection. I love them and always have. I almsot rescued a indigo off the road, but the poor thing died even as I turned around. Hit by some car.
Hope to read many interesting things.
