Definite pied love-lock!!!
Finally I’ve caught my first peep 👀 at two of my royals getting it on! This was an absolutely no-doubt lock! My 1½ year old super pastel piebald male and my 3½ year old piebald female. I caught these two locking weeks ago, but I wasn’t 100% sure, as I didn’t get a super clear view. I was doubtful especially since the male was so young! He’s barely 600 grams, but tonight he has definitely got it figured out! :hump:
I’ve had these snakes paired in my imagination for awhile, I bought the killer pied male from JKR when he was a wee hatchling, hand-picked specifically for my high-orange/peach colored piebald.
I can hardly wait to see their offspring, the male is extremely low white and bright peach colored, the female is lowish white and peach colored as well. I imagine their pastel pied hatchlings to be very bright indeed!
I currently have a 1.0 firefly pied and a 0.1 het pied (both proven adults) getting cozy tonight as well, though they are both huge and I couldn’t see a thing besides the high-white male coiled up on top of the massive het pied female. So I will just leave them together for awhile and hope they get frisky.
I also have beautiful 1.0 bamboo and a 0.1 orange dream pinstripe (both proven adults) on top of each other, but so far the relationship appears to be purely platonic.
