    zoo med ceramic heat emitter
I was reading at petco.com and they said that the zoomed ceramic heater was to be exclusively used with the Zoo Med's Repti Porcelain Clamp Lamp. Is this just for marketing, because I remember reading somewhere that they could be used in any standard indacescent light socket. I was thinking about getting one today or tomorrow.

No, no, hun. They cannot be used with a standard light socket. The heat is too great and will melt a regular socket. You can get a ceramic based clamplamp at WalMart for around $7. It's in the hardware section.

And yes, that is just a marketing ploy to get you to buy more stuff from them, LoL. :)
