Christmas/Holiday Card Exchange?

A non-herp related forum I frequent does a card exchange every year around the holidays. It seems like a fun idea to me, especially since this forum is so tightly-knit, but I'm not sure what y'all think of the idea, so...
This is kind of how that forum organizes the whole shebang:
Anyone can join the exchange. The whole thing voluntary and confidential. You can use your screen name or real, PO Box, business address, or street address- whatever you prefer.
Anyone who wants to join PM's a single trusted member their chosen name/address (I would suggest not me, as I'm not on every day). The window to join varies, but I'd suggest 5 days to a week: The date would be posted so that everyone knows when submissions close. Once the window has closed, said trusted person PM's the shared names/addresses to each member of the exchange. Then everyone participating sends a card to everyone else on the list, so that no one gets left out- the cards would not have to be herp related, and can include well-wishes and photos as desired. The list is destroyed as soon as the exchange ends.
Thoughts, feelings, and/or suggestions on this idea?
