As you may know i aquired a female ball python (ringer) from a pet store 1 month or so ago.

Re: Ball Python acting different
A regurg is a sign of a SERIOUS problem ... either temps, parasite infection, or worse ... it sounds like you've got some work to do.
Make sure your temps are correct ... 82-84 on one side, 92-94 on the other ... measured with a good digital thermometer. If your snake is too cool, he/she will not be able to digest it's food and sooner or later get very very sick.
If your temps are correct, you'll want to take a stool sample to a vet and have a fecal done to check for internal parasites.

Re: Ball Python acting different
The temps are deffinately correct. I use a t1 temp gun and check 2wice daily. Could she be consuming some of the moss type bedding in my enclosure?
Re: Ball Python acting different
come on please help me out.
Re: Ball Python acting different
I don't really know what you want to know. If it's only a one time regurg (I hate to say this--I know how touchy some of the topics can get) but I personally wouldn't worry about it. If you were handling her within twenty four hours after that particular feeding--that'll do it. Twice in a row--stool sample it. If you can't get her to eat FT, but she is eating Live...why are you switching her? If you really want to switch you will need to dangle it in front of her for a minute or two for the first couple of times. Also, you can try dipping the FT in chicken broth (my snakes all love this).
I hope this helps some...

Re: Ball Python acting different
Im done trying to switch her and shes a good eater anyway and it was a one time thing the next week she ate with no regurge!
Re: Ball Python acting different
If she kept the last meal down fine like you stated then I would not worry about it, it could have been stress or mabye she just did not feel good,
Re: Ball Python acting different
Do you have some type of under the tank heating all the time? I would still recommend taking your snake to a vet, for an overall health check. Have a fecal done, and if nothing else it provides you with some peace of mind.
Re: Ball Python acting different
yesterday she opened her mouth 2wice for no reason! could she have swallowed some of the bedding?
Re: Ball Python acting different
After i feed i put on a human heatpad on medium.
