My first bite
My first bite today...straight to the face. Bit me and tried to constrict as if my face was a rat [emoji23][emoji1750]:cens0r:[emoji3601] I would’ve much preferred you bite my hand or arm, Imogen.
No idea why she bit me, I was just talking on the phone. I still love my little baby, just keeping her away from my face for now on.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3002384ce3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ad55b6f282.jpg

Re: My first bite
Aww your poor adorable face. It was probably a defensive strike little ones stress easy and are scared of the big bad world. I'd imagine your head puts off a lot of heat.

You might want to feed that little monster, lol...such awful snakey-manners! :colbert: That's a bad place for a bite & it's fortunate you wear glasses, actually could
have done serious damage & that would be no laughing matter. Must have startled the heck out of you?
I once had a snake bite me right on the bridge of my nose. It was a silly young adult albino Cal-king (that I bought anyway): the manager handed me the 'shoe-
box' he was in & opened it as he did...the snake was apparently used to being fed in the box & flew right out at me as if prey, but at least he let go right away.
The store manager certainly knew better than to do what he did, too. :(
At least their bites heal fast & I don't think it will show much either...hope he didn't leave any teeth in?

Funny you mention a cal-king. My first time being let's say "Knawed on" I was holding lav albino adult cal king and I didn't feel it but heard a sound like something eating mashed potatoes with there mouth open. I looked down and snake had its mouth wide open both top and bottom jaw hooked into my chest. I had to grab it behind the head and work the teeth forward as they were in good. Smh...crazy

Yeah, that’s true. She’s always crawling around my face and head though so it really shocked me. Luckily after about 5 seconds she let go. Silly baby tried to wrap up my forehead lol.

That's too funny that would have been a site to see for sure.

So all this time she's been "sizing you up [for a meal]"!?! Let's hope she outgrows her misconceptions & her delusions of grandeur.
But hey, at least she has an appetite...

I just fed her Wednesday lol. I may need to up the size of the rat now. Would like to use up the few rats I have left though. And it did. I was on the phone with a friend and I screamed. I felt her teeth go in and then she tried to constrict my face lol. She’s always hanging out on my face and head though so it was really unexpected.
Oh wow! Yeaah, he should’ve at least given you a warning. Did the Cal-king’s Bite hurt?
Yeah, after I cleaned it up, you can’t tell I even got bit. I was showing my dad and he kept asking where lol. I didn’t pull on her or anything, I let her come off herself. So I don’t think there are any teeth. I was feeling around to check and I don’t feel anything. It does sting just a tad bit, but that’s all.

What a little stinker !! Definitely a food response, if she tried to constrict. She tagged you pretty good, too, defensive nips hardly ever leave a mark.
Well, she got the heat signature and something must have suddenly smelled like prey to her. Who knows, something in a hair product or perfume ? Many perfumes contain (some natural, some synthetic) "musk" to give them a bit..uh...sexy/animalistic vibe? Some contain pheromones.
With their Jacobson organ or sense of smell, perhaps something just triggered her for a second, and that plus the heat your head gives off, BAM.
She still loves you :)
