    My Boa's growth
I got a birthday Boa in July and here's the growth we've seen so far.

    1st measurement 8/2/05 - 27 inches

    2nd measurement 8/15/05 - 28 inches

    3rd measurement 9/22/05 - 30 inches

    4th measurement 10/15/05 - 31 inches

So that's 4-5 inches since the 1st week of July. Pretty astonishing animals these Boas. She eats like a champ (weanling rats for the last 2 feedings). Is calm and gentle. Has had 2 perfect sheds. I am thoroughly hooked!

Yeah, my girl BCI is awesome. I have been feeding her mouse hoppers for the last couple of feedings because rats are hard to find up here. The only ones they sell are weaned and ready for pets...5-6 dollars a piece, forget that noise!

Ah, that's where the joy of feeding frozen/thawed comes in. I'm paying 80 cents per rat, plus shipping and have a freezer full. She takes the f/t rats like a dream. You should check out Big Cheese Rodent Factory and order your rats in bulk. It's a beautiful thing.

I'll do that, what is the actual address? They don't even sell those up here.

Frozen/thawed is the way to go costwise usually. We were paying a small fortune buying live rats locally. We just got our first order in from The Mouse Factory www.themousefactory.com (they sell both mice and rats) and absolutely loved the quality, the speed of delivery (25 hours from hanging up the phone to receiving the order at my front door!) and the cost effectiveness.

I don't know if I confused ya, I use FT now but nobody sells rats FT up here except of mammoth proportions. The only smaller ones are live. Mice are easy to find FT. I like the deals on the above web pages. Thanks.

Looks like Miss Ruby is just rocketing along for you Ken. They are such awesomely nice snakes aren't they? We've so enjoyed fostering Rauri these past months.
