    Vision cages
Has anyone used Vision cages? I can't find too much info on them but I found one for sale pretty cheap and thought about buying it. Main thing I've read is they can be difficult to heat. Any other opinions on them?

I’ve used them in the past. The plastic is thinner than pvc cages, but still sturdy due to the way they are molded. I never had any issue heating them. Depending on what species I was keeping in the cage,
I used either UTH or heat lamps. This was prior to me discovering RHP’s, which would have been light years better in my opinion. The only issue I did have was keeping humidity up because the ones I had came with fairly large screen vents plus I was using heat lamps. This can be overcome by covering some of the vents and using a good substrate that holds humidity. I will also add that you can’t put anything heavy on top of them as this will cause the sides to buckle a bit.

That's strange, from the looks of them I thought they would be stronger. I have RHPs and want to use them so I may pass on this cage. For $100 it's tempting though.

They don’t collapse with weight on top, just the sides will bow out slightly. Over time, that can affect how smoothly the doors slide. I think a RHP would work great with the Vision cages. There are a number of different models, both with and without screens. There’s plenty of air flow with the sliding glass doors, so no vents is fine. If you could score one for $100, that’s a good deal even if it is one of the smaller models.

Thank you for the info :) I still haven't had a reply to my email about the cage so we'll see what happens.
