What is this? Bloody stool?

I found this in Nagini's habitat. As a reminder, she is currently stitched up for a prolapsed cloaca. She has not eaten in roughly a month, vet's orders. She has remained otherwise healthy, and maintained normal activity levels and habits.

It is not letting me post a picture. The object is moist, small, and looks vaguely like a slightly-bloody booger. Her sutures are clean and undisturbed, and while she's a bit sluggish from a lack of food, she seems fine otherwise. Did she vomit this up?

While we'd love to see the mystery object here, your time would be better spent showing it to the vet who stitched her up. Fingers crossed for her to be OK...
I'd be concerned as you are, & want to know. If I had to guess, I'd suspect that it came from the prolapsed area that is still healing...that also suggests she
isn't healed enough to be fed yet...how long did the vet say to wait? They really should be advised about your "find" as it may delay feeding, IMO. Hope she's OK.

I would be interested in seeing it as well. But your vet MUST see it. He can tell you what it is.

I will bring her to the vet as soon as feasible. I saved the whatchamacallit to bring as well.

Like I say, I doubt it's from the cloaca, as the sutures were perfectly clean and undisturbed.

As for feeding, I was going to consult with him. She hasn't fed in five weeks; I was going to skip at least two more (she'll get her stitches out before the first of those two missed feedings).

You might take a few close-up photos of the "thing" if you can't get in to show the vet right away, as I suspect it will dry up & change color pretty fast...like by the
time the vets sees it. No matter where it came from, a bloody "thing" can be significant.

Vet said it was likely a passing of bile with trace amounts of blood from mild intestinal irritation. Completely normal and expected, nothing to worry about.

Tube feeding on Tuesday, then weekly feedings starting with pinkies.
