Cool Seeking All Day

I have a juvenile male coral glow ball python and ive recently noticed that he is always on the cool side majority of the day. He never goes into his hot hide which is a steady 90° F even after a meal . The ambient temperature is 85° and the humidity ranges between 50°- 65° F. Is this normal for ball pythons? He has been seen drinking water from time to time and eats every friday. Never missed a meal since i acquired him.

Considering ambient is 85 yes it's normal, when providing a hot spot and a cool spot you generally provide a 10 gradient, 76/78 and 86/88, if the ambient is at 85 the animal does not even need a hot spot.

I also notcied that if those parameters are spot on with humidty and temperature he is extremely active and will move all around the enclosure and climb on logs and the rock hides but as soon as they drop he will go right back and sit in his cool spot.
