My bin setup that i just built last night
So i decided to transfer my baby ball to a bin. since my other one i just adopted thats 2+ yesrs old was in a bin that came with her and she seemed more content in a bin then my baby in a glass enclosure. I did the transfer took her a few hours but now shes calmer then ever. I dont regret the transfer now. Heres my setup so far. Looking for other ways to secure lid. Dont mind me im extra cautious when it comes to securing lids so they cant escape. (No tape is inside the bin).let me know your thoughts :)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d65b709fc9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9b5121ee5c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0f4085dd83.jpg

Its the clear lid i didnt realise they had solid color ones till after i already picked the lid out lol. So i taped some black cardboard construction paper or whatever its called. So that she would feel more enclosed

Amazing that they are happier in something smaller and more bare bones, isn't it!
To secure the lid have you thought to try binder clips? I use the small and medium, two on each side, so a total of 8 clips. For a hatchling they are pretty secure, but a larger animal might be able to push through.

I bought a bunch of the large binder clips. but they slide off and pop off to easy. Thats the first thing i tried. but there not secure at all for some reason they only go on the side like this. They wont go ontop. I got a few bungee cords tape and the binder clips. The other ball shes much bigger and only has 1 bungee cord on hers but she does not try to escape. this little one has a tendancy of trying to escape out of everything. She hasnt really moved at all since the transfer. but id rather be safe then sorry. shes much smaller so if she pushes the lid just a bit she could squeeze right through. the other ones to fat to fit through a tiny opening and the bungee cord should prevent that with her lol.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1601123a26.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f76a9b0320.jpg

And yes its actually amazing the difference in behaviour and everything. I hated the thought of bins. I actually thought it was kind of mean to put them in a bin before i was stubborn and felt it was kind of cruel. But the more i seen people doing it the more i thought its got to be okay for them. But after the transfer oh my. I will never go back to glass there so much more content in a bin. Humidity is alot higher. I got to ditch the lights. I just heat uo my room now and use a heat pad. Im looking to build a rack system now for when the big girl comes out of quarantine. Or find a cheap one for convienence and security and space so i can get rid of the lids.
