I personally don’t. Pine can have oils that will irritate reptile respiratory systems. I’ve always decided to err on the side of caution.

This is oven dried supposed to be safer

Years ago there wan an interview on Reptile Radio with Dan Wolfe. He used kiln dried white pine for his ball pythons for years, and had zero issues. There are a few episodes of reptile radio with Dan Wolfe as a guest. I cant remember what episode number it was.. I've used it in the past with corn snakes, and had no issues. To many people say do this or don't do that. Just because they heard it from a "big" breeder. I use a repti chip type of substrate in my adult tubs, and aspen on everything else.
