    A little help.....
Took this guy out in the sun today to capture his true color. He and a few others have me scratching my head the older they get. Pairing was “Firefly yb “x Pastel.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9d717428b1.jpg

It’s definitely coming from the sire. Out of 27 babies, 1/4 of them have this orange. Some more extreme than others.

It’s he just a Firefly Yellowbelly or Superfly yb??
    Any input is appreciated.

    Neat looking snake.

Since there are almost 100 views on this post and no one has said anything:
If I was at an expo and saw this snake on a table unmarked: I would guess it was a Pastel Yellowbelly Het for Pied, with the pied gene influencing the pattern.

I do have Firefly yb Het Pieds that look similar, but not as orange in the blushing. This guy is at least a firefly yb. My confusion comes the orange blushing. I’ve been looking for months for something similar. I have found some matches, but they have genes that I don’t/ shouldn’t have in my collection.

Am I color blind or is this guy orange?

This guy is 100% Het Pied

This girl is not Het Pied. She probably has the most extreme orange out of the hatchlings this year.

I wish I had the knowledge to help you out, but yes something else seems to be factoring in there. Consider this a bump, Deborah any insight?

Seriously it's a stunning looking Royal whatever it is .

One of the prettiest patterns /colourations I've ever seen !!

It kinda has a look of my Pastave Royal ( Mohave x Pastel ) ..

The last pic I know for sure is pastel yellow belly Mojave....and what ever is turning them orange?? There was fire in the pairing also. Combination of the yb and fire causing the orange flames??

I don’t think that’s the case because I also hatched a few fire ybs that have flames, but not like these.

Crazy thing is that the sire has no orange on him. Random gene popping up??

I know, breed it to prove it out and that’s my plan.
