What did I buy?

Before the title scares anyone: I know I bought a perfectly healthy ball python from a respected breeder and she is doing great and eating frozen/thawed regularly.

Ok so so what did I buy? I went to Repticon in Atlanta and purchased the prettiest snake I saw; an “albino black pastel”. What does this mean? I get the albino part but what’s “black pastel” she looks like a regular albino to me with the spots having a little bit oranger tint.

Just like albino is a morph, so is black pastel, so you have a snake that is both. World of Ball Pythons is a great resource:

If you bought another all baby's could be albino or pretty much pure black super black pastels... Be awesome if you got a 1 in a million chimera.

The black pastel is another morph like albino. The cool thing about that combos is the black pastel will help the albinism keep good contrast as the snake ages.
Often times just an albino as it ages the white and yellow fade into each other, and wont look as crisp as it did when a baby.
