    Retic enclosure question and sound
Hi everyone, i have a white phase retic. She is a growing girl and recently i turned my entertainment center into an enclosure. I am concerned about the sound near her. The bass on my sound system is at zero/off and i dont watch tv at loud volume. My upstairs neighbor makes more noise than i do. I contacted the breeder and they told me she should be fine, the sound doesnt seem to bother retics that much, but to just keep the bass off. Does anyone else have a different opinion on the matter? Just wanting to see if anyone else has had issues with a similar setup and/or sounds. I will move/modify her enclosure if it will cause her problems. Thanks!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...daf30aacf3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1c981ab077.jpg

Nice enclosure! I've converted some furniture cabinets in the past, I love to re-purpose creatively. :gj:

But about the bass notes, a lot depends on your snake...I'd watch & see, you should be able to tell if she gets irritable.

When I used to keep rattlesnakes, once in a while one of my kitchen cupboard doors would close harder than intended, and from 2 rooms away I'd hear the
"BZZZZZzzzzzzz" in protest. :D My numerous other snakes didn't seem to care either way, but a retic may have a similar sensitivity? I have no experience
with retics to know for sure.

Re: Retic enclosure question and sound
Most Pythons don’t care about day to day activity/noise.. Ive had 1 male that was a Nervous Nelly out of 29 years of keeping. . . however if you have 12” JL Audio’s next to your enclosure that Shake the house at 80Db I wouldn’t subject a animal to that anyway..

Thanks for the info! Makes me not worry as much. I would like to hear others input regarding my setup and noise/sound, do others also agree or have a difference of opinion? Thanks!

I would say if there is a ton of bass that it shakes the enclosure or what not, then it might be a concern. Snakes do not have ears, so pure noise shouldn't bother them, its all about the vibrations and stuff like that, that they can feel.
