    Shoe box hide?
I went to petsmart (no i didnt get my snake from there) to see if they have any good hides for my baby last night and they were all a bit too small for him. My Dad and i know a woman there named Vicky. I asked her about the hides and she suggested that i use a shoebox with a hole in it. I really considered this until i remembered that i heard somewhere that cardboard isnt good for humidity. Can anyone confirm this? As of now i have a small sterilite tub painted black (acrylic) and a hole cut into it big enough for my snake. Im just wondering though. Thank chu!:)

A 6 inches plastic flower pot saucer is your best option for an hatchling.

Cardboard is fine, but it will pick up humidity as well as urates/etc. so it's best as temporary: use, toss & replace.
