    Hi everyone!
    Hello members of ball-pythons.net!

I'm an animal lover from Wisconsin, with a particular interest in snakes! I haven't owned any yet, but I'm hoping to get a ball python in the near future. I did, however, have a leopard gecko named Leacko for ~3 years, until a family member forced me into getting rid of her. :( I'm so excited to be a member of the site, and hopefully I'll be sharing about a snake of my own soon!

Welcome to the forum!! You've found a great community to learn from. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, we're happy to help. The more we know about our pets the better we can care for them.

    Good luck!

:welcome: I'm sorry that you were unable to keep your leopard gecko beyond 3 years, but we're happy to help with any questions you have with your future
herp-pets. What was the objection to your leopard gecko, if I may ask? Ball pythons & many other kinds of snakes make great pets, once you understand their
care requirements, but more people are afraid or uncomfortable with snakes than lizards, so that's why I asked. Happy to have you join us here.

Lots of great people on here that love their animals and have experience in anything that could come up. BP’s are great snakes and practically any style you could want. I just bought my first one this year, and then my second. lol o hat up with a couple Boa Constrictors. Apparently my addictive tendencies fell right in line with the addictive nature of snakes, lol.
Do Some research and have your new snakes home all set up and ready before he/she shows up. It’s really best for both of you and instead of stressing over husbandry you can enjoy the new family member. Welcome to the site and looking forward to new snake day for ya.

    Re: Hi everyone!
Thanks, and I appreciate your question about Leacko! So, I had been moving back and forth for a while, almost the entire three years I owned Leacko, but for most of that time I had been with her in Missouri, the state I got her in. I'm originally from Wisconsin and had been being forced back and forth due to family affairs, but eventually the family member holding onto her until I came back next had moved, and without telling me or trying to find an alternate solution she sold Leacko. I was absolutely miserable knowing this, but there was nothing I could do at that point. The trouble of having been younger at the time :( I hope wherever she went she's okay.
