    Thermostat probe cord
Is it okay for thermostat probe cord to be touching the heat tape?

Reason I ask is, I have c serpents V-70 rack, and until now, I had probe next to the tub. However, the air temperature interferes probe reading giving false reading. There is no probe slot in the rack but there is space between tub and heat tape so I wanted to just fix my probe under the tub but if I do that, cords will be touching the heat tape.

Its probably same concept as the uth i was told Prob should be sandwiched between heat mat and enclosure i would imagine same thing with heat tape. If prob is inside it can be peed on or moved and give false readings resulting in over heating
