    RHP Question
I’m having a hard time keeping the temp and humidity at constant levels. I have a 40 gallon glass aquarium that measures 36x18x16, Eco Earth substrate, back and sides covered, 40 gallon size UTH. As of now I’m using a light to maintain temps. The top is covered with a hinged screen, I have the open area around the light covered with plexiglass. My question is, will using a RHP maintain my ambient temp and not kill my humidity levels like the light?

Yeah, an RHP will keep humidity levels. It's my preferred heat source when possible.

I'm not sure how you might mount it to a screen top though. It's mounted with screws. Usually it's used with pvc cages.

I plan on doing away with the metal screen and going with a hinged plexiglass cover.

I haven't tried others except these ones on reptilebasics, which work great: http://www.reptilebasics.com/rbi-radiant-heat-panels

The 40 watt would work for that size tank.

Have both as well. Personally recommend Reptile Basics RHPs.
