My first shed

I went through my first shed and think it went well. The video is of Luna. If ya'll don't mind looking at it and letting me know if you think she looks OK? Im not sure what eye caps would look like if still on. I just don't want her to have problems and/or go blind. The photo is her shed. Obviously. Looks choppy at the head. I need your expert opinions.

She looks great, as far as I can tell, though from the bulge near her vent I "predict" she'll need to defecate soon, & usually handling facilitates things...;)
(Some snakes actually leave their "gifts" right in the old shed...all the motion to slither their way out of the old skin often seems to "inspire" them-)

To be sure the eye-caps were actually removed with the shed, just look closely at the skin (above), they should be right there on the head part.
(photo isn't close enough for me to tell...) Also check the tail tip, make sure the shed came off the very tip. If any noisy breathing, also make sure there
is no bits of shed left behind in their nostrils.

As far as I can tell from here, all looks good. :gj:

I totally thought she would when she shed but she didn't. I've had her about weeks and she hasn't yet. Should I be worried?

Nope...like I said, it won't be long...they go when they have to, not once per meal or anything like that.

You're determined to worry, aren't you? ;) When they need to go, they generally do.
And keep in mind that if your snake is young, it's eating younger prey which is MORE digestible (meaning less waste to expel after digestion), so it can just take longer
before your snake feels the need. OK?

Remember that snakes have evolved to survive harsh environments, which means their bodies conserve both food & water to survive.
(so you won't see snakes having a pee'ing contest with each other :rofl:)

Lol ok. I just want to be sure she's OK. I checked her tail and eyes and to me they look good. I really appreciate all your feedback and help! Thank you.
