    just got to thinking
I was thinking about getting rid of some stuff that I had for my pet mice a few years ago, which made me remember- I was going to get guinea pigs instead of a snake, but they were too expensive and difficult to take care of (even though I've probably put as much time and money into Olaf as I would a guinea pig). I still kind of want one:shh: , preferably a hairless one. They'd still be a nice pet and all, but now that I look at things differently, that's like owning a really expensive hamburger. Just thought that that was kind of weird how that all worked out.

we just got rid of guinea pigs. My wife and her friend thought they each needed one of the cursid things and of course it turned out her friend could not take and we where stuck with two! She quickly realized the pain keeping these things, they where the most stinky things in the house even more so than the mice! They would sqeak and squeel all the time and pee so much it was crazy! Once they matured some we found they where both males which is why they where such a hassle together.

Guinea pigs are boring, in my opinion.. they are not intelligent in the least like a rat is, they just kind of sit there like a blob.

That said, they can be considered cute, and they're not aggressive (normally).

my cousin used to have a guinea pig. he did stink but i though it was cool that he would only go to the bathroom in one corner. he also wasn't aggressive but he was really skiddish, unlike my sisters hamster who bites every chance he gets! i wouldnt get one as a pet though. im not a real rodent person. i would rather raise rats for snake food.

My G-pig sure didn't poo in one corner. Messy little thing.

I agree with Shelby about them being boring..but that's just a personal oppinion. And ours definately did not use one area to do their business either. We had these guys in a pretty large ferret cage that was given to us and they still pood or pee'd over every square inch.
