Annna Pottery: Vintage snake themed pottery that can bring $100,000+ or more !?!?
So I was watching American Pickers tonight like usual and was intrigued when they started talking about a company named Anna Pottery that existed in Illinois from 1859-1896. Among making famously styled stonewear pigs with railroad maps on them, they are very well known for making highly collectable stonewear jugs with beautiful, intricate snakes on them. The last colored jug I have seen two examples of in online auctions....one went for $45,000....the other $50,600. So be on the lookout for these!

Aren't they beautiful? I started looking at pictures of them and was instantly in love....too bad there's no kind of replicate available and I guess this company is considered the Cadillac of stonewear jugs so nothing is cheap from them. Oh well, buy a Powerball and dream lol.
Ax: Believe it or not you could make something similar on a 5th axis CNC or a 3D printer....with about a month of design and machine time Id have to charge you just about the same as the original

Sure can, we have a nice big expensive seat of Solidworks available at work to me. Problem is that this stuff really isn't my forte...I love art, absolutely love it but my mind turns gears instead lol....mechanically based 100%. Wish I was an artist, oh well. There are a few rare people that mix CNC controls (which includes 3D printers) with art but because the money factor is night and day they are pretty hard to find.
