Went to my first reptile expo
So I visited the Sacramento convention center today for a reptile expo. It was so much fun! My girlfriend and I got to hold some large snakes, saw an awesome collection of venomous snakes, a ton of beautiful balls and leopard geckos, and also some less common snakes. I picked up two huge pieces of wood that will go in my T10 which should be here next week. It was an amazing experience.. if anyone has not been to one I highly recommend it!

Reptile Show? What's this you speak of?
Seriously, they are awesome and way too tempting. 4 shows ago, I ended up meeting a breeder and getting Behira, my female Ghost BCI a few weeks later from him (at another show). Last show, I was good, but Katie (SunshineWalker here on BP.net), my fiancé, ended up with her first reptile, a Bayonnaise Leachie, Esmeralda, or Ezzy for short.
Great to see all the amazing animals, but I am trying (unsuccessfully) to slow down with the reptiles, and it's just too tempting. No shows for a while for me.
Love the pictures and glad you and the GF had a great time and held some big stuff! Behira is only 2 years old and I can't wait to see her as a big girl like your GF held. It will take another 3-4 years or so though.
That tiny tortoise/turtle is adorable.
I am surprised you only left with a few wood pieces!
Re: Went to my first reptile expo
Haha! Well I wasnt prepared to take anything else home... yet. I am a first time snake owner and wouldn't consider getting a new animal until I had its home all set up and was prepared to care for it. My girlfriend fell in love with the bearded dragons so that may be next. I would like to get another t10 to stack on top of the one thats on its way.. so maybe when I have that all set up we'll consider another.

Nice! I went to the Sac expo this year and last year- I had a great time on both occasions. Last year I brought home Sonny, my purple albino retic and this year I got a male yellow anaconda. Next year I’ll have to go with someone else who is looking to get a new snake, so I can live vicariously through them lol. It is super fun to go to though!
