I've learned that Klauss is sometimes defensive when you take him out of his tub, he'll musk and bite on occasion, but he's usually ok once he's out. He also get's riled up and will strike if I make quick movements or if anything is directly in front of, or too close, to his face. Other than that he's just awesome.

This guy has never given me any attitude. I'm really starting to love my boas. :)

Thanks Piper! My scrub is really cool but I don't let my guard down with him like I do with all my other snakes. The Bredli is pretty frustrating sometimes. He's been off food for almost 2 months now and will take random food breaks throughout the year. I know he'll get back on track soon but I really want him to grow. I got him around the same time I got my coastal and jungle carpets but they're probably 3x his size. The Olive is awesome. He's in shed now but should be done and ready to eat in a few days. He's much more laid back than the scrub but still a monster at feeding time. I need to get some new pics of him too.

AWESOME awesome Zig! Thanks for sharing! You sure do have cool critters, that boa is just great looking, will that pattern hold has he grows? Or what do you expect from him?

Thanks PD. I think his pattern will stay the same but his colors change quite often. I don't know what causes them but his light and dark phases are both pretty cool.

Klauss is keeping you on your toes I see. I'm sure you're enjoying it though, hahahaha. And I know you're up for the challenge.

I'm still sooooo on the fence on my next addition, but dang a boa looks good about now...

You know I love that Bredl, too.

we get bit, we live, we learn, we get along.

i'm glad u figured out his triggers. since we cannot really communicate w/ our animals esp. our snakes, we've got to learn their non-verbal cues that keeps handling sessions enjoyable.
