    Surinames and Peruvians
Hi I am trying to decide between a Suriname or Peruvian BCC.

I want one that is light/bright colored and with not much speckling. I have noticed that some BCCs are really nice but some are dark. Is it best to just buy an adult? Because I don’t really care for the dark ones.

Do all BCC darken as they age? I know my BCI has light and dark phases but he’s a VPI T+ albino so even his dark phases aren’t dark at all.

Also I noticed that my BCI has an almost white head. Are most boas heads lighter than their body color? I have only seen a few that match their body color.

Suriname all the way between the 2. I personally like Suris and Guyana more than Peruvians. Peruvians tail are almost no where near as red as the others.

I dont know, that Peruvian on the left is pretty freakin hot with those pinched saddles. I want one with thin saddles like the left but with the really light golden brown of the right side. Seen a few really nice ones from Udo Wagner but he isnt selling haha. The search continues for that perfect Peruvian....once i recoup funds from the OSHY Biak red neo GTP i got coming lol.

And you can look at pics of Gina. She is from August 2016 and when she is in her light phase, she is pretty light in color.

I’ve never personally seen a Peruvian I just gotta have. Guyana, Suriname, and others are always a go in my opinion.

Well Guyanans and Surinames look the same to me personally. I have seen surinames with the so called purple of guyanans and i have seen guyanans with the pink sides of surinames. I know some people say there is a difference but i guess I'm not pro enough to tell. I mean honestly the only thing really separating them is a political border and suriname used to be the french guyanas lol.

This is true but there are some hot Guyana’s out there as well. I had the opportunity to get a pair of Peruvians at 250 each about 2 weeks ago and I passed, I was more interested in his Columbia jungle babies. Guess it’s what they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all like what we like.

    These are big snakes,
If you want a good example price will tell you a lot about how it will turn out $500-1200 will get you a nice Suri or Guyana.

About the head coloring and seeing pictures on the web and in person always leave me the feeling the pictures don't capture the whole image.

What would be the outcome if you bred a suri to an iquitos Peruvian?

A mutt that wouldnt be bought except as a pet to someone who didnt care. Any purist wouldmt touch it. Heck most purists blow a gasket if you cross breed BCI and BCC like a suriname to a sunglow BCI to get a little more red 'pop' out of the sunglow. Although i forgot who it was, was a well known BCI breeder, who bred surinames into his sunglows and they were really pretty.
