Is Cher fat?

Ok guys, Cher has always been our beast, but lately I've been wondering if she's actually getting fat. If I'm remembering right, she's a March 2018 hatchling. She is currently 574 grams and is eating smallish weaned rats every 7-10 days, although we're planning to stretch out feedings to every 10 days for her.

yep! she's looking a bit fat IMO. :) nothing too drastic or life-threatening, but definitely more to love! here's some photos of my Super Cinny girl when she was a bit fat: LINK

you can see just how round they look near the last third of their body, instead of seeing their muscle definition along the spine.

just offer every two weeks for a while until her body condition starts looking a bit more slim.

Thank you! You confirmed what I suspected. :) We'll push out feedings to every 2 weeks for a while. I don't even want to think about how grumpy she's going to get, lol. She's already a bit of a crab.

And your Super Cinny is gorgeous! How long did it take her to slim down?

uhhh i think it took ~5 months? really not that long at all. i just felt so bad on feeding days because she is my best eater and i was in pain seeing her windshield wipe her tub knowing rats are in the room.

Thanks, I clicked through, she definitely slimmed down! You can definitely tell the difference. She looks great! A Super Cinny or 8 Ball is one of my bucket list BP's :)

Cher is also a really good eater (obviously, lol). She's so eager for food that we've actually started hook training her. Good thing because I have a feeling we're going to need it if she's waiting 2 weeks between feeds 😁

hahaha, sounds just like my girl Coffee Bean. she's my only snake out of 7 that's bitten me (my fault) and on feeding day there's no way you're getting near her without tongs.

it's hard not to give in to them bc they're SO CUTE and hungry!, but it's for they're own good. is Cher a Desert Ghost? her color is unreal!

They sound like twins! Cher got my husband during feeding time, too! Also his fault - he reached in too low to try to retrieve a dropped rat. :)

She's a Pastel Vanilla Yellow Belly. Hasn't browned out too much yet. :)

Tonight would normally be feeding time for Cher, but it's the first day of her diet - she'll be getting fed every 2 weeks instead so she can slim down a bit.
