    Another question about feeding...
The guy I’m getting my girl from says she is eating live fuzzies. I can’t find live fuzzies, my store doesn’t have them. So I’m thinking of buying f/t fuzzies and trying to get her to eat that way. My question is, how long will she stay on fuzzies? Her hatch date was 6/30/18 and she weighs about 75 grams. I’d like to get an idea of how many I need to buy. TIA!

Rule of thumb is food should be 10-15% of BP weight so at 75 grams food should be atleast 11-12 grams.

Large frozen mice from Petsmart come in around 19 grams. Small mice come in around 7.5 grams, so if you go by 10% you could start with small f/t mice.

Sorry, forgot about the Medium size mice that come in around 12.5 grams. I would most likely go with them as it should be small enough not to cause issue and large enough to fill the snake.

    Fuzzy what?

If you are feeding fuzzy mice those are not appropriate for a BP even out of the egg they eat hopper mice and not fuzzy.

At 75 grams it's either fuzzy rat or small adult mouse.

Thanks! She’s on rat fuzzies which I forgot to put in my original post. I’d like to keep her on rats.

So she should eat rat fuzzies until she is 200 grams?
