    Green Zone vs. Yellow Line
yay Football season is back! and NBC introduced a new TV feature for your viewing (dis)pleasure - the Green Zone! what is it? it's the camera and computers emphasizing the area between the Line of Scrimmage and 1st down in a different (darker) shade of green from the grass/turf on 3rd down. it looks like this:

NBC used it for the pre-season and again last night for the season opening game: https://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/09/nfl...nbc-green-zone despite alotta mixed reactions (or hate), NBC will be using the Green Zone for their Sunday night and Thursday games. what do u think of it? is it helpful? annoying? cool? i prefer the simple Yellow Line as the 1st down marker. i think this makes the field look too much like a video game and it's kinda annoying.

i'm not going to vote bc i don't follow football closely enough to care, but i think this will help a lot of people with visual impairments (whether slight or considerable) see better. and to me, that's worth the slight annoyance of something new. :)

I'm indifferent....so far. But I feel like I'm leaning towards preferring the classic yellow line.

Either way, it's a million times better than the blue puck trail in NHL hockey games years ago. Talk about video-gamey.
