Still trying to swim in water dish?

Following up with my last post, I've been seeing my baby ball python trying to swim in his water dish. I did inspect him for mites but I didn't see anything on his chin, in his eye, or in his scales. He does have black spec like scales, but when I ran my finger across them they were smooth. It seems that Russos also have those kinds of markings. There was nothing in his water bowl except a fuzzy and a tiny tiny red oval thing. But I did not have a magnifying glass to inspect it. He's been in his water bowl 2 or 3 times already this morning. I'll look into getting mite spray today if I can.
But what could be going on with him?

Also, I noticed him trying to rub his head against the glass. But his eyes didn't appear cloudy or anything. Even when I did shine a light in his eyes, the area around his eyes and head did have a bluish tint. But I don't know if that was the light

Now that I checked again, I did see a small black rice shaped thing on his nose

If he is in and out of his water dish like you described, something either is off with your husbandry or you most likely have mites. Good luck.

Sounds like humidity may be off and hes about to go blue. I have had a couple of noodles that actually like their water enough ive had to indulge them with dishes that have more surface area. (Before i went to racks)

What should his humidity be?

If he does have mites, when should I spray that reptile spray on him? Before or after he dries? Today is his feeding day as well
