    Are these safe to feed?
Just picked these up for my baby BP (they are fuzzy rats), but I noticed something kinda strange on both of them. This is my first time feeding and I just want to make sure they’re safe.

    Rat #1
This little guy has a goopy orange thing on his neck/paw, I’m assuming I could take it off, but just wondering what it is and if it would be okay to feed it? It’s pretty gross looking.

    Rat #2
This one has some weird white spots all over one side; I’m assuming it’s just ice stuff but just wanted to be sure?

“When in doubt throw it out” is what a lot of us go by.

Orange goopy stuff is probably just stool..."--it happens", rinse it off if you prefer. ;) And those white spots are "freezer burn", perfectly safe to feed also
but may indicate your source had these in their freezer for a while. (vaccuum-sealing helps to prevent "freezer burn" by getting the air out of the package)
