Anyone Try Brain Barczyk's Reptile Prime Premium Bedding?
    Anyone try this stuff?

    https://www.amazon.com/Reptile-Subst...+bedding&psc=1

I'm not much of a fan of BB, but I doubt he has much to do with it past an endorsement, it's inexpensive, and I'm always looking to try something new.

Is it basically like EcoEarth? Cause the humidity is way too high in my PVC sliding front terrariums with that stuff.

    Thoughts?

I've used the Reptile Prime bedding for the last few months and I LOVE it. It looks nice and holds humidity really well. I have it in all my enclosures now.

I LOVE it! I won't use anything other than reptile prime. And it is better than Eco earth. So much better!

Looks like my question was answered without having to ask.

I've used it and it is ok but for what it is, kind of expensive. Personally, i just use either Zoo Med aspen or Zoo Med Forest Floor aka cypress. Both pack down better so snakes cant hide poops under it and i dont have humidity issues to begin with.

You can also look into Reptichips which i've used too. That stuff works ok too but with it being a bigger cut of substrate, snakes tend to be able to hide poops and pisses under it.

And those who say Reptile Prime is dust free are wrong. The stuff puts out as much dust as either of the 3 other substrates i've used if it is allowed to dry out.

I agree that it's kinda expensive, especially with bigger cages. I use it with 3 BPs and my BRB, and I do really like it especially for the BRB. Also, my Pastel started burrowing in it since I switched her over last week. She doesn't use the door to her hide anymore, instead she crawls under it lol. Seems like she likes it

Filled one tub but never put the animal in. Way to fine and dusty for me. Idc what anyone says it’s way more dusty than reptichip so that’s what I’ll stick to

Does anyone mix Reptichip and Reptile Prime? That's what I've been considering but I'm still using up the last of my aspen before I make the switch.

I have been using both for the last five months. I like Repti Chip better. It holds humidity better, has a larger surface area. It doesn’t clump like Reptile Prime. Reptile Prime is ok, I just think Repti Chip is better.

I've used Reptile Prime for a while now (since seeing it on BB vlog) and really like it. Easy to spot clean, SUPER absorbent, and no stink from any of my 6 enclosures. The snakes burrow and have perfect sheds...no daily misting. There is some dust if it gets really dry but I'll take that, it's good stuff.
