    "Reptile" Bulbs
I've always used Reptile Branded bulbs just cause I was always able to get them for really cheap from a friend who managed a pet store. Now that he's no longer there I've realized these bulbs are expensive lol and there really is no difference. After searching up on Google, seems like everyone uses regular bulbs with the same Watts instead of the brand names.

My question is for the users who do use regular house bulbs, with all these new efficient bulbs, LED, halogen, fluorescent... Do you still find they give off enough heat? A 23w bulb can now replace a 100w bulb, but I don't think it would give off the same amount of heat.

If I were to go with the regular bulbs, should I just stick with the Incandescent old-style bulbs?

    Thanks

I just use the most inexpensive, old fashioned ones I can find.

I use ZooMed infrared bulbs on a dimmer ( a little higher wattage so I can adjust them down) they last forever that way, well a very long time that’s for sure. You could give that a try. Hope it helps.
