    Frozen Rodent Missing Leg?
I was getting a rat out of the freezer to thaw for Syd and I noticed that the one I pulled out seems to not have one of its legs. Its a really clean cut, like it was just like amputated or something, so I’m guessing it happened while frozen? But not sure. I looked through the bag to see if the limb was there but I couldn’t find it.

I got the rodents from a vendor at the local Repticon at the end of July.

Does that mean they are bad? Should I not feed it? I’ve never had that happen before in 15+ years of having snakes, somehow.

I do have another bag of rodents from a different source (Big Cheese) that are for my King; however, my King is on weaned rats and Syd has been taking rat pups. But Syd could probably take a weaned rat. I was gonna finish the bag up before I switched her over, but I guess I can just switch her over now if that is the safer option.

Don't worry about it: frozen rodents are brittle, & legs or tails sometimes break off. Your snake won't care one bit...neither should you. ;)

Maybe he was previously in the theater, sorry bad joke. Yes it can happen, tips of tails also. As mentioned very brittle while frozen, no harm. No need to waste. I would of used it definitely.
